Data Interchange appoints Robert Steiner as new CEO
Following significant success over the past 30 years, strong growth ambitions and an exciting vision for the future, Data Interchange is very pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Steiner as their new CEO. This appointment heralds a new chapter in Data Interchange’s history and will enable the business to focus on its future success. Robert will now assume full responsibility for the management of the business, in line with the current and future strategy and long-term objectives.
“We are extremely fortunate to have someone of Robert’s calibre and experience to step up and take the helm,” said Ieuan Friend, co-owner. “Robert’s vision, proven track record and wealth of leadership and market experience will help us realise our growth ambitions and vision of integration”. Both Ieuan and Ewan Friend will now move to the board of directors to whom Robert will report.
Robert has held a variety of executive positions over the past 30 years, with large corporate computer and software companies as well as smaller (start-up) software companies, covering a variety of solutions and technologies. Robert spent the past 11 years at QAD in the post of Vice President Global Consulting Services. There he led a team of 250 people with direct responsibility for all integration, technical and development resources globally, including managing the fast-growing Interoperability business (Integration and EDI including Cloud-based EDI Services).
