EDIFACT
Electronic data interchange for administration, commerce and transport (EDIFACT) is a messaging standard that was first developed by the United Nations in 1987.
The following codes are the most commonly used in EDIFACT:
ANSI X.12
Developed by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), X.12 provides a standardised format for the exchange of business documents electronically between trading partners.
It promotes automation, efficiency, and accuracy in business processes, reducing the need for manual data entry and improving overall supply chain management.
The following X.12 transactions are most commonly used:
VDA
Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) refers to a set of standards developed by the German Association of the Automotive Industry.
It was developed to facilitate the exchange of information between automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and other stakeholders in the industry.
